Real thriller of a match between these 2 great clubs. Charnwood got off to a flying start winning the first 2 matches in convincing style but Woodhall Spa Ladies fought hard to win the next 2 matches leaving it all down to the last match to decide who was going through to the Grand Final in Spain.. The final match was between Woodhall Spa Captain, Jo Cobley and the youngest from Charnwood Forest, Chloe Edmonds.. It finish all square after 18 and the match had attracted the attention of all the supporters and golfers on the course. 

It was a tense and gripping match to follow and some great golf was played by both ladies under intense pressure. The first playoff hole was halved but we finally had a breakthrough on the 2nd playoff hole with the young star from Charnwood Forest, Chloe, holding her nerve to par the hole and take her team through to Grand Final in Spain. Great scenes of joy & excitement from the Charnwood Forest Team & Supporters. Commiserations to the Woodhall Spa Ladies on their brave effort, the whole team was gracious in defeat and many thanks for their hospitality on the day..
